May 16, 2016: Diagnosed with 3cm x 4cm “Intermediate Serrated Polyp” on elective colonoscopy (healthy, asymptomatic)
May 19, 2016: Ultrasound of abdomen and liver: all normal.
May 20, 2016: Full blood work and CEA; all normal (CEA = 1.7)
May 24, 2016: Phone call from senior endoscopist; “Not concerned about the wait for surgery. This has the look of innocence”.
June 10, 2016: Endoscopic Mucosal Resection removed polyp in 3 pieces
September 8, 2016: Follow up colonoscopy; coast is clear. No follow up needed for 3 years.
